Ahli coach Manuel Jose has chosen 20 players for Saturday’s Champions League tie against ZESCO United in Zambia, including injured duo Mohamed Shawky and Mohamed Fadl.
Ahli doctor Walid Abdul-Baqi revealed that Shawky and Fadl struggled to train with the team on Wednesday morning due to minor thigh and calf injuries respectively.
But it seems that the duo should be fit for the round of 16 game this weekend.
Goalkeeper Sherif Ekrami was named in the squad for the first time since sustaining a knee injury back in November.
Outcast midfielder Shehab Ahmed also returned to the squad after missing out on several previous games under Jose.
Amir Sayoud and Ahmed Hassan are not registered, so their names were not included in the 20-man list.
Center-half Sherif Abdul-Fadil also made the trip after being dropped from the last league game against Gaish.
