Chelsea v Manchester United: Frank Lampard still seeking 'something special' after 500 games

For Chelsea it will be night of milestones in a potentially season-defining
tie when Manchester United visit Stamford Bridge. While Carlo Ancelotti
celebrates 100 games in charge at Stamford Bridge, the immovable force that
is Frank Lampard reaches 500 appearances in a Chelsea shirt.

For Lampard, it represents the chance to achieve 'something special’,
particularly in a season which was interrupted by a troublesome injury.

Lampard will achieve the remarkable landmark in just 10 years in a career that
has rarely been dogged by injuries.

Yet the period from August to December when he was missing could be a
blessing, he believes.
