Zamalek handed light sanction by CAF
Zamalek have been fined $80,000 and ordered to play their next two continental matches behind closed doors, CAF disciplinary committee said.

The sanction, which is believed to be lighter than expected, is a result of the pitch invasion which marred Zamalek’s home Champions League fixture against Club Africain on April 2.

The Cairo club have also been warned that if the incident was repeated, they will face a one-year ban from continental club competitions.

FilGoal.com has learnt that the disciplinary committee took into consideration the political instability and shortage of security forces in Egypt before making their decision.
